Fighting Racism, Antisemitism and Intolerance through Sports

Byron Scott – Former NBA Player and Coach

March 19, 2026 by Max Admin

It’s Showtime at Project Max: Byron Scott Joins the Athlete Advisory Board

Project Max is proud to welcome Byron Scott to its Athlete Advisory Board.

Scott brings championship pedigree, coaching credibility, and a powerful voice to the mission. He was a key part of the Lakers’ famous Showtime teams, winning three NBA titles in 1985, 1987, and 1988, and later earned NBA Coach of the Year honors in 2007–08.

More importantly, Byron understands that leadership is not only about what happens on the court. He has already spoken alongside Project Max about the importance of unity and about the need for more athletes to speak up against hate, racism, and antisemitism. That message fits the heart of what Project Max stands for.

By adding Byron Scott to the Athlete Advisory Board, Project Max gains a proven winner, a respected coach, and a leader who knows how to use the power of sports to bring people together. It’s Showtime at Project Max, and Byron Scott is ready to help lead the way.
