Jason pitched in the big leagues for the Houston Astros and Colorado Rockies. Drafted in the second round of the 2003 MLB Draft out of California Lutheran University, Jason quickly made a name for himself in the minors — winning Texas League Pitcher of the Year (2005) and Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year (2006) in back-to-back seasons. He debuted with the Astros in 2006 and went on to start 19 games for the Rockies in 2007, helping them reach their historic World Series run.
Known for his power fastball and sharp slider, Jason’s career was cut short by injuries, but his journey is a story of persistence, resilience, and growth — from being overlooked in high school to becoming one of baseball’s top pitching prospects.
Today, Jason remains deeply connected to the game, mentoring athletes and sharing his experience on what it takes to succeed at the highest level. His perspective as both a professional athlete and mentor will be invaluable as Project Max continues to empower athletes to perform, grow, and thrive on and off the field.
