Fighting Racism, Antisemitism and Intolerance through Sports

Mirna Sayeh – Professional Basketball Player

January 17, 2026 by Max Admin

Project Max is pleased to welcome Mirna Sayeh to our Athletic Advisory Board.

Mirna is a Bethlehem-born basketball player who made history in 2023 as the first Palestinian woman to compete in Israel’s Women’s Basketball Premier League. After earning recognition as an MVP in the Palestinian league, she continued pushing her game forward in Jerusalem—and today plays with Hapoel Lev Jerusalem.

Mirna brings a rare, athlete-first perspective shaped by crossing competitive environments, adapting to higher-performance expectations, and staying focused on long-term development under pressure. As an advisor, she will help strengthen how we support athletes across training culture, mindset, and opportunity pathways—especially for girls and young women building confidence and ambition through sport.
