Fighting Racism, Antisemitism and Intolerance through Sports

Rabbi Erez Sherman, Community Leader

October 29, 2025 by Max Admin

Rabbi Erez Sherman is Co–Senior Rabbi of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles, where he helps lead one of the nation’s premier Conservative congregations. Ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary, he is a graduate of Columbia University and List College, with training in both music and Talmud. Rabbi Sherman directs Sinai Temple’s Israel engagement efforts—building relationships through learning, cultural programs, community trips, and mentorship of emerging clergy. He also hosts “Rabbi on the Sidelines,” a podcast exploring the intersection of sports, faith, and character. A passionate advocate for inclusion, Rabbi Sherman speaks nationally about creating welcoming Jewish communities for people of all abilities. Recognized for his leadership and innovative programming, he brings warmth, clarity, and a deep love of Torah and the Jewish people to everything he does. We’re proud to have him join Project Max.
