Project Max - Fighting Racism, Antisemitism and Intolerance through Sports

Fighting Racism, Antisemitism and Intolerance through Sports

Roy Hinson – Former NBA Player

March 7, 2025 by Max Admin

A dominant force at Rutgers University, Roy finished his college career as one of the program’s all-time leaders in blocked shots, rebounds, and scoring, earning him a spot in the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame.

Selected first round in the 1983 NBA Draft, Roy went on to play eight seasons in the NBA with the Cavaliers, 76ers, and Nets. His best season saw him averaging 19.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, solidifying his reputation as a force on both ends of the court.

Now, Roy continues to make an impact beyond basketball, using his platform to inspire and uplift others. His leadership and dedication to positive change make him a perfect fit for Project Max, and we’re thrilled to have him on board!
